Portfolio: Writing and Editing
I am a very adaptable writer, able to use a variety of writing styles and work within guidelines. I have also worked on projects with teams as a writer and editor.
Software Documentation
Content Management Processes
As a contractor at a motorcycle company, I converted service manuals from FrameMaker to XML format. Throughout
my work on this project, I looked for ways to help streamline the process.
I wrote tutorials on how to batch process photos in Photoshop. I also wrote a tutorial
for analyzing text to find reusable content.

Content Management (Ken Cook Co.)
During my co-op at Ken Cook Company, I documented their content management system. At the time, the company also
needed legacy documents transferred from "unstructured frame"
to "structured frame". So, I learned how to structure documents
in FrameMaker and convert them to XML, and I documented this process
while I did the work. [Adding

User Guide Manual
e-Scholar
The e-Scholar Quick Guide manual is for an online teaching
tool called e-Scholar that instructors used at UW-Stout while I was
a student. I worked with a team of students to develop both a hard copy
version and an online version. I wrote several tutorials for the e-Scholar
Quick Guide and edited tutorials my team members wrote.
